BALKAN BREEZE TOURS, a travel agency and tour operator certified by Bulgaria’s Ministry of Tourism, is in charge of organizing your vacation.

By booking a tour with the aforementioned tour operator, you agree to the terms and conditions outlined below.

Please read the terms and conditions carefully for your own benefit and safety. It is your responsibility to ensure that you have read and understood all of the terms of your contract before making any reservations.

Our Agreement with You

Products and Suppliers

We are BALKAN BREEZE TOURS, a TRAVEL AGENCY TOUR OPERATOR who acts as a “Booking Agent” for things and services that we do not directly provide, and we appreciate the opportunity to serve as your booking agent for your travel needs. In addition to your obligations as a customer, these general terms and conditions define what you are legally entitled to expect from us when you purchase travel-related services from us. The terms “we”, “us”, and “our” refer to BALKAN BREEZE TOURS. The terms “you” and “your” refer to the customer who visits our website, books a reservation through us, or otherwise uses our services; additionally, the terms “you” and “your” include the first named person on the booking, all of the people on whose behalf a booking is made, and any other person to whom a booking is added or transferred.

We provide a diverse selection of travel-related merchandise from various suppliers and service providers (“Suppliers”). In addition to our general terms and conditions, each Supplier has its own terms and conditions that relate to your unique agreements, which you should read and understand. Certain software and resources on our website are owned or licensed by us or our suppliers, and their use may be subject to additional terms and conditions. All airline tickets are subject to further price increases that may occur after the purchase date. Price increases after purchase may be necessary due to higher costs imposed by a supplier or the government. BALKAN BREEZE TOURS may charge you additional fees to offset rising fees, fuel surcharges, taxes, volatility in foreign currency markets, or any combination of these. By accepting these GTC, I consent to any post-purchase price increases and authorize BALKAN BREEZE TOURS to charge my credit card for any additional charges.

When you make a reservation, you confirm that you have the authority to agree to and accept these booking conditions on behalf of your party. This agreement is based on the terms of these booking conditions, which are governed by Bulgarian law and subject to the jurisdiction of Bulgarian courts.

BALKAN BREEZE TOURS acts as a booking agency or a declared retail agent for the supplier(s) involved in your trip booking at all times. The company’s role as a booking agency or disclosed retail agent is to ensure that all travel components and services booked meet the terms agreed upon with you at the time of booking. If those components or services depart from what was agreed upon due to the supplier’s inability to respect the contract, BALKAN BREEZE TOURS shall commence communication with the relevant supplier(s) and the customer and will not be held accountable for any compensation claims. In this regard, BALKAN BREEZE TOURS cannot be held accountable for any alterations made by suppliers or for any omissions/mistakes, unless they are the product of our negligence.

Finally, the customer will enter into a trading relationship with BALKAN BREEZE TOURS, which will be limited to the company’s role as a booking agent or disclosed retail agent, as well as the various suppliers involved, who will be responsible for providing the services and products advertised at the time of booking in their entirety.

Deposits and Payment

When you schedule your appointment, you will be required to pay a deposit or the whole amount. If you just make a deposit, you must pay the remaining amount by the balance due date. If the full payment is not received by the balance due date, we will notify the provider, who may cancel your booking and charge the cancellation fees mentioned in their Terms and Conditions. Unless otherwise specified or noted in the relevant supplier’s booking terms, any money paid to us for arrangements will be held on behalf of the relevant supplier(s).

We don’t charge fees for debit card transactions. Credit card payments may include a handling charge.

We reserve the right to cancel your booking if you do not pay your outstanding balance within 7 days of the due date.

By providing us with your payment information, you permit us to establish payment arrangements with the appropriate Suppliers.

We have the right to refuse personal checks as a payment method.

Changes in transportation costs, such as gasoline prices, taxes, fees, and currency fluctuations, mean that the price of your trip may change even after you have paid in full if we have booked a package.

All prices in brochures, websites, and offers are per person and in USD, including VAT.

Prices in brochures, websites, and offers are based on currency exchange rates at the time of publication. BALKAN BREEZE TOURS has the right to adjust the selling price if the exchange rate changes considerably. Changes are communicated at least 30 days before the customer departs. If BALKAN BREEZE TOURS does not react within eight days of receiving this information, the price increase is considered accepted.

If, after receiving full payment for all initially agreed-upon services, you request any other additional services, even if only agreed by email between parts, BALKAN BREEZE TOURS has the right to issue an invoice for the additional services, and you are obligated to fulfill all payment obligations before the end of the services provided by us before leaving the country.

Documentation

When practicable, we prefer to send documents to our clients online. If you request that such documents be provided in hard copy, we reserve the right to charge an administration fee.

Bookings, Cancellations, and Changes

These terms of business serve as the foundation for us to make travel arrangements on your behalf with third-party providers.

When you make a reservation, you confirm that you have the authority to agree to and accept these terms of business on behalf of your party. This implies that you are responsible for making all necessary payments, notifying us of any changes or cancellations, getting confirmation, and keeping your party informed.

Any cancellation or change request must be given in writing, by email, and will be effective on the day we receive it between 9 a.m. and 5 p.m. You must pay the cancellation or amendment charge shown in the Cancellation Costs section.

We will inform you as soon as possible of any changes or cancellations made by the hotels. If we provide alternative accommodations or a refund, you must contact us within the timeframe we designate. If you do not respond, we will assume you have accepted the update. In the odd event that your booked hotel becomes unavailable due to overbooking or any unforeseen circumstance, an alternate hotel of the same category will be supplied. BALKAN BREEZE TOURS is not responsible for any hotel relocations caused by an overbooking hotel policy; nevertheless, if necessary, BALKAN BREEZE TOURS must produce all paperwork provided by the overbooked hotel.

Our responsibilities are limited to arranging the reservation according to your instructions. We accept no responsibility for any information related to the lodgings that we supply to you in good faith. However, if we are found to be liable to you on any grounds, our maximum liability to you is limited to the total amount of your booking (or a proportionate percentage of it if not everyone on the ticket is affected). We do not exclude or limit our liability for death or personal injury caused by our negligence or that of our employees while acting in the course of their employment.

The booking information you provide will be shared solely with the appropriate Suppliers or other people necessary for the conduct of your stay. As a result, the data may be shared with government authorities, such as customs or immigration, if requested or required by law. This includes any sensitive information you disclose to us, such as information about a disability or dietary or religious requirements. Certain information may also be shared with security or credit-checking agencies. By making your reservation, you accept that this information will be shared with the necessary parties.

The hotel ratings presented on our website are based on our suppliers’ rating systems and may not reflect the property’s actual rating. Star ratings and standards differ between countries; therefore, a four-star hotel in one country may not be the same as a four-star hotel in another. BALKAN BREEZE TOURS is not responsible for any misconceptions concerning official or supplier ratings.

If you have purchased a ticket and your airline alerts us of a significant schedule change before your departure, we will notify you via email. Please verify that you have given us your contact email address and that you check for messages on a regular basis before leaving. We have no control over airline schedule changes and accept no responsibility for any surcharges that may result from such changes.

It is your responsibility once you have left to verify that any following flights you have confirmed are running as planned. We strongly urge you to contact your airline at least 72 hours prior to the scheduled departure time for each travel. Please bear in mind that certain airlines ask you to confirm your flight.

Cancellation fees for hotels, programs, and round trips

If you cancel your reservation, you may be eligible for a partial refund under the provisions of the “Cancellation Fees” section below.

Refunds will be granted only when we have received payment from the suppliers. In most circumstances, partially used airline tickets cannot be refunded.

If the reason for your cancellation is covered by your travel insurance policy, you may be able to recover your cancellation fees from your insurance provider.

  • Cancellation fees

The pre-purchased places are blindingly booked in the case of a fixed reservation, and the purchaser accepts the following cancellation fees:

For cancellations that are fewer than 30% of the pre-booked contingent:

  • Except for specific arrangements, there are no cancellation costs if a group or customer cancels partially more than 8 days before their arrival.
  • Cancellation 7 to 2 days before departure: 35% of the total package price;
  • Cancellation one day before departure, the day of departure, or “no show”: 100% of the total package price.

The following costs apply for partial cancellations that exceed 30% of the pre-booked contingent:

  • more than 40 days before departure: free
  • 21–39 days before departure: 35 percent of the overall package price
  • 14–20 days before departure: 50% of the whole package cost
  • 7–13 days before departure: 75% of the whole package cost
  • 2–6 days before departure: 85% of the entire package price; less than two days before departure: 100 percent of the overall package price

The following fines apply if a group is completely canceled:

  • More than 40 days before the departure of a party of more than 25 people for which we have previously received a booking status: 25% of the whole package cost
  • Longer than 40 days before departure, if we have not yet received a rooming list, or if the booking status is for fewer than 25 people, without charge
  • 21–39 days before departure: 35 percent of the overall package price
  • 14–20 days before departure: 50% of the total package price
  • 7–13 days before departure: 75% of the entire package price
  • 2–6 days before departure: 85% of the total package price
  • Less than two days before departure: full payment of the complete package price

BALKAN BREEZE TOURS may require deposits on certain days, such as New Year’s Eve, which are non-refundable if cancelled. BALKAN BREEZE TOURS has the right to modify cancellation policies for certain dates or travel seasons.

Unpredictable Incidents

In the case of a strike, or other unanticipated incidents, or circumstances outside BALKAN BREEZE TOURS’ control, BALKAN BREEZE TOURS will make every effort to provide the services scheduled. Such considerations cannot warrant canceling a vacation. Under no circumstances will BALKAN BREEZE TOURS be held accountable for any ensuing damage.

Your Agreement with Us

Your Acceptance of these Terms and Conditions

By booking your arrangement with us or using our website, you agree to be bound by the terms of these General Terms and Conditions, including parts 1–3, and any additional terms and conditions of any Supplier that are applicable to your booking, travel arrangements, or use of any website content. You agree to comply with all such terms and conditions on behalf of yourself and those you represent, including payment of all amounts when due. You agree that any violation of these terms and conditions may result in (a) cancellation of your reservation or purchase, (b) forfeiture of any monies paid for your reservation or purchase, (o) denial of access to the applicable travel-related product or service, and (d) our right to debit your account for any costs we incur as a result of such a violation.

Furthermore, you represent and warrant that (a) you are of sufficient age to use our services and website (at least 18 years old) and that you are capable of creating binding legal obligations in connection with your use; (b) you are legally authorized to act on behalf of those you represent and accept these terms and conditions on their behalf; and (c) the information supplied by you or members of your group is true and correct. You are responsible for notifying such other individuals of any terms and restrictions that apply to their Rave agreements. You acknowledge that you are financially liable for any use of our services or website by you or anyone using your name or account.

If You Have to Cancel Your Reservation

If you cancel your reservation, you may be eligible for a partial refund under the provisions of paragraph 1 above, under “Cancellation fees.”

If You Change Your Reservation

If you request a change to your travel arrangements, and it is allowed and practical, our standard service fees will apply. Please keep in mind that any changes to bookings are subject to availability.

Many airlines and other suppliers prohibit changes to name data. While we will make every attempt to make such a change if necessary, please bear in mind that most airlines and suppliers regard a name change as a cancellation, with the same terms and fees.

Flights must be taken in the order they appear on your ticket or confirmation email. If you do not intend to take a flight as scheduled, please call the airline as soon as possible to explore your options. If you do not check in on time for a confirmed reservation, the airline may mark you as a ‘no-show,’ which may result in additional costs and/or the cancellation of your whole flight itinerary, as well as the voiding of your ticket.

If You Have A Complaint

If you have a problem while on vacation, you must immediately tell the relevant local Supplier (for example, your hotel, restaurant, or cruise ship), and the problem must be handled on the spot, if possible. If they are unable to resolve the issue, please notify us promptly by email. If you do not contact us in time, we will be unable to investigate your complaint and remedy any issues while you are away, which may limit your rights under these General Terms and Conditions. Concerns must be communicated to BALKAN BREEZE TOURS in writing within 7 days of the tour’s conclusion. Please keep in mind that you must first communicate your concern to your relevant local supplier; otherwise, a complaint directed to us would be pointless.

Travel Documents and Destinations

It is your responsibility to ensure that all the information on your travel documents is correct and to report any errors or discrepancies to us as soon as possible. Your travel documents are valuable and should be secured with cash. It is not always possible to replace travel documents in the case of loss, theft, or damage.

Before planning an international trip, we recommend that you look into any government prohibitions, warnings, or advisories that may apply to your destination. We do not claim that traveling to any specific location is safe or risk-free.

Passport, Visa, and Immigration Requirements

It is your responsibility to satisfy the passport/identity card, visa, and immigration requirements that apply to your itinerary. Please confirm them with the appropriate embassies and/or consulates. We accept no responsibility if you are unable to travel because you did not meet any of these requirements.

Vaccinations and Travel Advice

Vaccinations may be required for some or all of the places you want to visit. It is your responsibility to verify that you have received the necessary vaccinations for your itinerary, as well as any specific safety requirements.

Insurance

Travel insurance is an essential part of your preparations. We strongly recommend that all passengers obtain adequate coverage for the duration of their vacation before traveling abroad. In any case, we highly advise you to obtain travel insurance to protect you and your party from the costs of cancellation, assistance (including repatriation) in the event of an accident or illness, loss of luggage and money, and other expenses.

Use of our Services and Website

You undertake to use our website or services solely to make legitimate bookings or purchases, and not to make speculative, misleading, or fraudulent reservations or reservations in anticipation of demand. You may only use our website and services in compliance with applicable regulations.

Without our prior written permission, you may not (a) access, monitor, or copy any content or information on our website using any “robot”, “spider”, or other automated or manual device or program; (b) deep link to any portion of our website; or (c) “frame” or incorporate any portion of our website into any other website.

Privacy Policy

You grant us permission to handle and disclose personal data and information about yourself and other members of your party that you have provided to us in accordance with the general terms and conditions. You acknowledge that you have read and accept the terms of our privacy policy, which is available on our website.

Additional Terms

Inaccuracies or mistakes, including price inaccuracies, may occur in the information, software, goods, and services offered by us or our suppliers, as well as on our website. We cannot guarantee the accuracy of the information on our website and disclaim all liability for any errors or other inaccuracies. We completely reserve the right to correct any pricing errors on our website, as well as any pending reservations made at the incorrect price. In such cases, if available, we will provide you with the choice of retaining your pending reservation at the correct price or canceling it without penalty.
